Anatomy of transmission dip-stick tube question
'85 300D Turbo
Does the automatic transmission dip-stick/filler tube has a seal, o-ring or a gasket at the bottom where it attaches to the transmission? part number please....? Mine is leaking, but I'm a bit hesitant to play with it until I have the replacement parts in hand... I looked at it and I saw an allen head bolt that's holding it in place Thanks in advance!

Yes it does have a rubber o-ring. Look it up in the "Buy Parts" section of this site.

6mm allen socket holding it in place. Pry up with a screwdriver to replace the hardened, broken o-ring.
