I am in the middle of replacing the rear motor mount by the transmission and the weld nut tab keepers(?) broke when I went to unloosen the bolts that hold the crossover bracket. Now the weld nuts just turn up in the body. How the heck am I supposed to get the bolts out now?

I had a similar problem with those clips. My solution was to cut the head of the bolt off with a wizz wheel and replace the clip with one i found at napa.

ok, i got the bolts out intact by wedging a screwdriver between the weld nut and chassis. got lucky on all 4 bolts. ftwchopper, do you remember what the nuts were called that you picked up from NAPA?
