Have been lurking this forum since 2003 and 50,000 miles.Everything I know about my 1983 240D 'Old Blue' I learned reading this Forum.Just used the search features and all my questions were answered!
Sadly the time has come to retire my daily driver.The air conditioning system
had a major failure,thinking compressor, and I don't have the will to fix it.
Wanted to thank you all for your generous help.You guys are great!
Bought a 2010 Jetta TDI Sportwagen stick and hope it will be half the car that has been my constant companion for 7 years.
Now I have to find out what oil is recommended. 'Wink' Oil Thread...

I've also been lurking a long time and learned so much from forum members posts as well. The best mercedes site bar none!

I had a nice 84 300D but a wreck took it off the road.
Got into 124 series with a 87 300TD and that keeps me busy.

However I still have a rebuilt compressor for your car in the box and
have no use for it. Also have vac pump, gauges etc. If you reconsider the a.c repair PM me. ( I live in Bucks County)
