glow plug relay connector
On an OM617, has anyone mapped the connector pins to the individual plugs? Are the wires color coded? I might answer these questions when I check the glow plugs in my SD, but maybe it's already been done.
Thanks, Sixto 91 300SE 81 300SD |

This is in the Haynes manual. But if you don't have one, as apparently you don't, it should be very easy to simply connect an ohmmeter on one of the pins, then use the other lead to probe all glow plugs. There will be one that is virtually zero ohms, while all others will be 2 or 3 ohms. Mark it down and move to the next pin.
Good luck, |

Pardon my ignorance. I do have a Haynes manual and the wires are color coded. I was just wondering if someone had saved notes from doing it.

I'm sorry, I thought that there was a pinout in the Haynes manual. Maybe the procedure was to probe every pin on the connector without specific indication of which pin goes to which plug.
Sorry 'bout that, |
