Interchange radiators w124
Anyone know if any other model radiators will work in w124 , 300 d turbo?

I know there are different ones for the 6-cylinder (87 only in the US) and the 5-cylinder.
the 6 is bigger, but I think the trans-cooler lines from a 5-cylinder would not bolt up. so you can't upgrade a 5-cylinder to a 6 (radiator wise) why do you ask. . . .W124 radiators are readily aviable. please don't cheap out, you will just over heat her, and crack your head

Thanks for the advise. I'll order one when I'm ready to install. I had left mine on a pallet in my driveway while pulling the IP for new gaskets and seals. Car has been a $ pit. Just thought I might save some $ if I could find one in local recycle parts center.

I know someone who fitted a Nissan radiator to a W124 diesel as a temporary emergency measure (no correct one in stock, had to do a 500 mile trip) and ended up leaving it fitted for several years with no problems.

Doubt that was on the 603.
Nothing more expensive than a cheap mercedes.
