85 300SD Water leak
I let the Diesel sit for about 4 days and during that time we had a major rainstorm come through for about 2 days ( Northern VA outside DC) When it warmed a little I saw some fogging of the rear window. Today I drove the car ( still have the hard starting and white smoke issue) and when I picked up a folder I had laid on the floorboard of the passenger side rear seat footwell it was soaked completely. The car was in my driveway which angles towards the passenger side and my drive is on a grade of about 20 degrees so any water would have ended up in that footwell. I believe it is just a drain tube that is plugged but we will see. The sunroof seals look good and have not ever given me an issue with leaking however this car has been parked in a carport for most of the service life. The question is this - a few weeks ago the sunroof stopped working as in it would open but at first intermittently and then not at all. I then tried to close it and it closed with no issues but would not reopen. I believe it is the switch however that has become secondary. Does anyone know if the emergency crank in the trunk will not only close but also open the sunroof so that I can clean the drains first ?
We are expecting more rain and my swim trunks do not fit anymore . Thanks and sorry for the long winded story blame it on my med.

I would think the crank will work both ways.
