sdl glow plug question-poll

my 87 sdl needs glow plugs still starts but light is out ive tested and 3 2 are bad,my question is how many here have changed out without taking intake manifold off and how many say take it off.ive looked at past threads and seen both opinions-just wanted to get current feedback. how hard is taking manifold off-again ive read the threads but welcome your thoughts and advice

I have done it with out removing the intake. You will need a wobble(ujoint) i I used a 3/8 drive with a wobble and got to all of them. Just be pateint.

i'm fixin to do mine but am planning to pull the intake. I figure the time spent pulling the intake will be less than the thime saved by having easier access.
