A/C high and low pressure lines
Perhaps a very silly question, but one I'll ask. Does anyone know what the PSI is for the high and low pressure lines on the A/C? 95 E300D. In a temp fix situation, not knowing the PSI presently, would it work to temp patch with some heater hose or something similar until the right parts could be purchased?

pressures are dependent on temperatures, but if it's 85 outside, and in full sun with the windows down, I'd expect a high pressure side to read 200 ish, and the low side to read 40....
no heater hose would not work as a temp fix. most auto parts stores can sell a/c hose and fittings that can be made to work with hose clamps of a sort. it's not the pressure per se, you have to worry about, it's the porosity of the hose, and it's ability to hold in alkali lubricant... |

Thanks much for the response...this is exactly what I was after. I'll check into the parts stores, thanks.
