DIY Magnetic Hood Pad

Okay so after reading the forum here I decided to order 1" Reinforced Foil acoustical foam from McMaster Carr for a replacement hood pad.

After looking at prices for 3M Adhesive I realize its cheaper, easier and far less messier to use these stick on flexible magnets

Whats also cool is that you could easily remove your hood pad to wash and wax under the hood!

Now what I am trying to figure out if item 5759K75 will have enough magnetic power to stick to the hood.

Anyone want to chime in with any suggestions/tips/advice before I order I would appreciate it!
