Ok, I'm an idiot. Playing around with this new to me car, I was testing switched etc and hit the switch for the int lights... and forgot. about 1am (8 hours later) my wifes goes, hey are the lights on in the car.... arg...

Anyways, drained the batter pretty good. I have been jumping it off my rover for the last 2 hours. Everything seems to go ok(glowplugs etc), but's it like the key will not engage the starter.

In other words, after I wait for the glow plug light to go out, I finish turning the key to start it and nothing at all happens.

What did I do to it?

never mind... I think I figured it out... seems that the shifter didn't register Park.. I wiggled it and it started.

check your shift linkage bushings!
