SLS pump musing.
Apparently on the 603 the SLS pump is an auxillary power steering pump. Might be a cheap alternative for the 617 crowd....

Im assuming its part of the grooved belt. 4? 5? 6? something like that.

I've often wondered if the SLS pump could drive a hydraulic fork to push other cars out of the way...

I'm pretty sure the issue has come up before. Isn't it a tandem pump with the SLS pump on the back of the power steering pump?

I have one sitting around as well. Mounts the same as the single pump. Can a 603 pump mount up to the 617?

Sounds like I'll be tossing my 201 SLS pump away, ... was thinking it'd come in handy some day but apparently not.

Just for info, the W210 wagon has a combined SLS/P.S. dual/tandem pump.
Two pumps in the same device. Info could be useful to someone. Its about half the size of a 'standard' 617 pump as it has no reservoir...  --I have no idea of its mountings however.....
