300SD 1982 Small Fabric Jumper Hoses-How long will new hose last?

Mine were all replace about 2 years ago and a few recently started to weep, so I replaced again. Is this normal?

Do you mean the fuel return lines at the injectors ? If so they should not be.
They could have been cut too short when installed. They do not handle a tight bend very well. You can try to twist them and reseat just be careful because if you use pliers etc you can damage the nipples.

There is also hose out there of varying quality, so it's kind of like what I've discovered with engine mounts: replacement parts can't always be counted on for long life......

Yes mine when I installed them did not have wide bends. I think this was the problem so when I reinstalled I put in wider bends about 2 times what I had in length, so it looks better. I got my hose from Phil so I assume good hose.

Biodiesel seems to shorten the life of standard hose. if you use it either on purpose, or accidentally with some of the B5-b50 pumps that are out there, they may get spongy sooner than normal.
