Rerouting Blowby?

I am considering rerouting the blowby from the chamber leading from air filter to turbo to instead having the blowby rout directly to the air filter cover. Anyone have any experience with this or opinions on the move?

Rerouting means a smoky engine compartment

Greetings,

A little bit of oil vapor traveling into the air entrance of the turbo and then burnt in the cylinder is a whole lot better than routing a tube downward to the ground and smoking yourself out of the car. Just consider it additional fuel to be burned, as it is, just a little pricier. Doesn't your breather hose going to the air cleaner attach to an oil seperator inside the filter housing so the oil can be returned to the crankcase and minimal vapor is passed to your turbo intake? I'd have to look at your setup but my '84 300SD has this design to return heavy oil vapor back to the engine.

Charles

There is no oil se[erator in the filter housing. The blowby line does have a T; I'm not sure where the other branch leads. I'll check it out today.
