Speedometer jerking around
This morning I was driving to Nashville and I noticed my speedometer was jerking around at about 65 mph. I slowed down & sped up, but it still continued. It finally return to normal and has been acting right since then. Does this mean that my speedometer, or cable, is about to give me some trouble? Thanks.

This happened on my 300SD because a magnetic cylinder
apx 1x3" had fallen out of the transmission and was hanging by its wire under the car. shoved it back in and it solved the jumpy speedometer. Not sure on your model if this applies. Jeff

If you have a cable in that model, they often get jerky before failing. If you get some lube into it it may hold on for a while longer.
