Climate control unit out of 300D
Hello,
My 300D always blows hot air through the dashboard vents (which is fun in Houston record heat) if any button other than 0 is depressed. I have replaced the monovalve core (torn diaphram). After this things worked for about a month. Now nothing but heat. I decided to pull the climate control unit and have a look at it for bad solder joints, as mentioned elsewhere in this forum. While I've got it out I am completely disassembling it to clean stuff. The little temperature wheel detent ball was fun to find in the carpet ![]() The solder connections all look ok, but what would be the advice here? Resolder them all anyway? The relay contacts are all mechanically free. Also, has anyone replaced the little control unit light bulbs with LED equivalents? What did you use? Are you happy with the results? On a similar subject, my shifter light bulb is out, has anyone replaced it with an LED? Same as above, which LED, happy, etc? TIA
