Bought myself and Norm a present today
A set of MINT Ronal R9's! They were at the junkyard today just sitting in the "fancy wheel" row. I paid $225 + tax for them and they came with tires. The tires are about 8 years old though, so they will need to be replaced but have good enough tread on them and no rot from what I can tell. Still I'll probably replace the tires in the next month or so.
They look to have been refinished at some point or were just really well taken care of. They need a polishing on the lip, but besides that they look great. They even came with Ronal center caps, but those need the logo painted. What do you think? I bought it as a birthday present for myself ![]() ![]() ![]() |

16x7 et23. I can definitely feel the added rubber and diameter, the car is slower. So far I like them but the bundts will go back on until I get new rubber.

Similar story to my 15" Centra bundts, except they were still on the car and needed to be restored (but were installed on a '78 230). Nice find!

^ I feel pretty luck considering how good of shape they are in and the fact that they even fit the 123! I just need to unload my other pentas for the 201 now.

I wish I could find a set of those, almost all the aluminum wheels go for scrap at the junkyards here now without ever even making it out into the yard.
