A superturbodiesel'd SL would be rad as hell.

I wonder if a 606 would be a drop-in for an R129. It's based on the W124, and they managed to cram a V12 under the hood...

The M104 was an optional engine in the R129. The 603 and 606 share basic block interfaces (oil pan, bell housing, engine mounts) with the M104 so the mechanicals should be easy to attach.

I thought I saw VW EOS TDI diesel factory hardtop convertible. Same version just as a gas in USA.
