Using Autologic or SDS to tune EGR settings on a bluetec
I have access to Autologic and SDS systems. On VW TDI's, you can put the EGR into "off road" mode where it is less intrusive, it increases performance and fuel economy.
Is there any way I can achieve this in a V6 (non-urea) bluetec? |

The TDIs are little more than a computer controlled throttle on a distributor pump. A CDI is a rolling computer that directly controls everything on the engine. You'll need to replace the EGR map in the ECU, which can't be done with diagnostic equipment.
In any case, the EGR is of little concern compared to the DPF. Eliminate that and you'll get rid of nearly all the power and economy reduction as well as drastically increase the engine life eliminating DPF regeneration cycles. |
