87 300D Hood Release Won't Work
 

I have read lot's of threads on how to open the hood if the cable breaks on several models, but not on an 87 300D or E. Can anyone help? The car is for sale and someone is coming tomorrow to look at. I just tried to open the hood and nothing.

Can you tell where the cable is broken? If it's broken at the release handle or close to it, this DIY might lead you to the end of the cable -

It cable is intact at the release lever. It has to be under the hood.

Dont freak out on getting it open for tommorow, if you can thats fine, but if not its no big deal. Im more interested in seeing how she runs and drives with all of your suspension work.
