Check the vertical surface just above the transmission pan junction on the passenger side of the transmission. Look for the number sequence that begins with 722.3 .

^^Horizontal surface. Should be a 722.303 (or was that only to '84?)

lucky me
the person who sold me the tranny used sand paper to clean off the old pan gasket or something and took alot of the numbers with it AND it's not really possible to get a straight on look at it it got something like 722.?03?02?93682

The first question mark can only be a 3 or a 4. Very unlikely a 4. 722.303 is all you need.
My 81 and 83 SDs had the transmission number on a vertical surface. I found this picture through a google search - ![]() Sixto 87 300D |
