The stand-up Star: Still around?
Just wondering when Mercedes stopped producing cars with the stand up hood emblem. To me, that is the most beautiful part of any Mercedes, so it's a shame that you really don't see that anymore. It's actually my favorite part of my 75 300D. As long as that works, I got a good Mercedes.
 Has it disappeared from all the models, and if so, when did it die out? ( Needless to say, I'm not a fan of modern Mercedes styling. The distinctiveness is gone. From a 20 yards away, it could be a Hyundai. )
