No windows/wipers until I spray de ox

I am a bit puzzled. I have No windows/wipers working until I spray de ox on the fuse panel. SO I thought it has to be the fuse and I replaced #16 for the wipers. However when I got back from the auto parts store and replaced it again it did not work until I sprayed a de-ox proprietory spray.

In addition I heard some sort of noise under the dash when pressing the eindow button and/or or the wiper stalk. What good that noise be coming from ? Thanks

Does the ox have a name? Why are you spraying it? Flies?

Seriously - what year and model?

If you spray a de-oxidizing spray in to the fuse box and it works, then you've gone a long way to isolating the problem. But, unless you're very precise with the spray, you're probably getting other fuses, too. It may be that there's a different fuse that is upstream of the wipers. When the spray hits that fuse, it may make the connection.

The noise might be a relay, but without more info it's tough to say.

Recommendation: remove and inspect all the fuses, or at least the ones that are near the spray pattern. Check the fuse holders for corrosion or heat damage and warping.

Your motor is in between the firewall and windshield. Hope thats not it. Sure does sound like a grounding problem or contact in the column.

Replace your fuses

Replace all your steel fuses, with the copper ones. Maybe that will help.
