Cheers to all and to all a big thank you for the information tech tips and how to do repairs. I bought a 87 300 SDl in June this year, it sat outside for 3 years, and has 350,000 kms on it.. The seller wanted $500 ,, so I would buy if it started and if the car would go 3 blocks.. Charged the battery added 2 gallons to a 1/4 tank and she started up and moved !!!! very bad idle and would not go over 10 mph.
Since then I have replaced the following, to meet the Canadian safety inspection and registration requirements and then some,,,
frt window
all new exhaust system
belts tensioner and idler
trans fluid and filter
eng oil filter
fuel filters
new frt end, tie rod center link etc
rotors x 4 and new master brake cylinder
e brake shoes
frt wheel bearings and seals
battery ,starter
she runs ok 36 mpg (highway only )data , but she is very slow off the line but when turbo kicks in accel is good
So after reading the posts here I plan on doing the ALDA thing and going to do the cam chain and injectors Is it worth while to clean old injectors or just buy new ones,, Thanks in advance Dave
