Sudden or gradual? Run out of fuel? Plugged filters? Bad lift pump? Broken fuel line? Broken accelerator linkage? Bad coil?

only reason it got towed was because it wouldnt and wont restart for some reason.. dk why. never lost oil pressure, one moment I was buzzing along and the next Coasting for the shoulder of the road. I've not messed with it other then trying to start it when I got it back here again.

Well, I thought I might have a sticky Sender. It's happened before, so I put a LED light into the filler neck and I can see a fair amount of fuel still, not sure how deep it is, the pre-filter is full... I really need to take the valve cover off and check the chain stretch while it's down.... Usually when I ran out of fuel there'd be a gradual loss of power like what happened when I started sucking air once, but this was fine one seccond, and gone the next. the engine turns freely so I dont think anything busted, It's just so odd.. I'll post the results when I dip the tank tomorrow. I might pull the bung on the bottom just to see what comes out. could the lift pump crapping out do this? with a sudden no fuel situation? I have one sitting here someplace I can try and put it on and see..

quick test, pull out a 14mm and loosen the injector nuts... see if you have fuel there.

Cracked the line, nothing, there's no fuel movement through the lines, so, either the lift pump is crap, or it's sucking air somewhere
