CAN FRONT COIL SPRING ON A SD BE REMOVED WITHOUT DISCONNECTING ANYTHING

I'm getting information together for replacing the guide rod mount. Did many searches, but can't find if the spring can be removed without disconnecting anything. Must replace rod mount bushing on LCA.
