1985 300D TURBO TRUNK LEAK!

The trunk seal on my 1985 300D is in good shape, but water is entering somewhere near the hinges and dripping onto the wheel wells on both sides.

Any ideas as to how I might stop taking on water?

Sounds like the rear windshield is leaking.

I found holes rusted through under the weather Strip on the Rear Window.

The window seal is in good shape (though I'll look for leakage) and there's no rust on the car. Are there drain holes in the rear corners of the sun roof? If so, where do they discharge?

How did you repair the holes? Did you do the repair or farm it out? Cost?

To the OP, Don't discount the rear seal until you take a close look. My rust showed as a tiny bubble barely visible under the bottom L seal. Probing with an o-ring pick found complete rust thru.

The rest of the car is pretty clean but I noticed a little rust under the bottom of the front door seals. I did a quick sand & POR but will address in depth soon - before I need doors.
