ALDA cap
Hi
I removed the Alda on my 617a engine and looked for a way to cover the pin. When i could not find any thing, I made this cap. http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF0003.jpg http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF0006.jpg http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF0009.jpg |
very nice.. i take it you have access to or own a lathe and a milling machine?
|
Hey I want one!
Mine is open to the world.. |
Very nice machine work. I had to settle for a black plastic metal table leg cap from Home Depot. I really like the one you made. It looks like it belongs there.

I didn't know about this thread, but a good idear to use hex stock. Would have saved me a machining step. |
It's hardly copying someone's work, it's a great idea, and I was searching for a way to cover up the hole when I found that one.
I like the round section on yours better actually, and you did a great job. |
