E300D Engine mounts replaced with genuine MB: vibration now worse
I changed my engine mounts with genuine over the xmas break. I used genuine as the MB dealer could get them overnight, which worked well timing wise as I was in the mood to give the old girl a bit of TLC.
When I took them out of the box I shook them. One was silent but the other I could hear the fluid splashing around.
Nevertheless, I installed them and now I have lots of things inside the cabin vibrating: door trims etc.
Vibration gets stronger if I rock the car slightly from side-to-side. Could I have a dud mount?
If it was just a bad wiper blade then I would take it back to the dealership but a mount means: car on ramps, jacks under engine, cross-over pipe removed and a couple of hours time.
Just wanted to see if anyone has shook a new mount before or perhaps works in parts and could take one of the shelf and check for me?
By the way, genuine mounts are made in Turkey (not stamped anywhere on the mount but in tiny writing on the box), my Corteco's I removed are made in Germany and boldly melted into the rubber of the mount "MADE IN GERMANY"
