Squeaky rubber bushing
So i just replaced both upper control arms on my w126 abiut 2 months ago. Now the rubber bushings between control arm and sway bar are squeaking. I was gonna throw some wd40 on but idk if that will eat away at the rubber. Any good ideas?

Oil is not good for rubber.
Have you by any chance had the bolts checked for tightness since the work was completed? |
I'd use silicone spray not WD40.

If you're sure that's where the issue is, the best bet would be to remove them and coat the bushings with sil-glyde, or something like that.
|
I have also read of Silicone lube spray being used.

Silicone and rubber are very compatable.

Id run ru-glyde (like is used for tire mounting) or syl-glyde or krytox.
Id beware of aerosol sprays because the carriers may have hydrocarbons. |
