617 shut off valve (Euro vs North America)

Ok just want to make sure I order the correct part from fastlane and save my self a lot of hassle.

On the non turbo Euro 617 i'm seeing a part number of 1427133093. When I plug the number into Fastlane it brings back W0133-171491. Is this the updated plastic version of the original metal shutoff valve? (Also, what are the gaskets listed under?)

I have to say that i'm grateful to have a manual 617 after looking at the vacuum lines in the engine bays of automatic 617 W123s...

I dont have the part number but I have replaced mine and it wasn't plastic. It looked like the one on the US spic 617s but it sits on top of the IP not in the back. hope this helps. I'm grateful to have a non turbo when it come time to work on it, almost as easy as the 616.

The present version of the shut-off valve of the MRSF pump is indeed plastic.

EGR is usually the culprit of making the vacuum lines complicated.

The hard injector lines on your 300D are missing some clamps. And the oil filler cap needs new rubber.

If you have an M pump on your euro then it might be different than the US spec MW pumps. But if you still have an MW pump then the shut off valve should be the same.

Good to know! I'll place the order tonight as soon as I can find where the gaskets are listed.

And now the search begins on telling the difference between an M Pump and a MW pump (I'm auto guessing that it's an M pump)

EGR was pulled a few weeks ago. I'll do a double check oil cap rubber as well.

It's not a 300D

Ok i've confirmed that I have an M Pump. Now the question is which shut-off valve do I need to order?

Searching for a 300D shutoff valve on Fastlane brings this up which LOOKS like what I currently have installed.

PeachParts FastLane Mercedes Parts Store

However when I plug the part number 1427133093 it brings up this plastic unit. Can someone confirm Goverts post that it is correct part?

This seems like a silly question but what is on your pump? The metal valve on the MW pumps are on the rear bottom of the IP, and it looks like the plastic one in the pic above the Govert posted for an M pump is on the top of the pump. Which do you have?

Just noticed the price of that shut-off valve in the link you posted $172.89!!!!!
You've got to be kidding me. I think the decimal point must be a place off. I'm gonna start snaggin' these mothers out of the junkyard for $1.50 and make a fortune.

The shut-off valve of the MRSF pump is on top of the pump. The old ones were metal (as seen in the picture in post #1), the new ones are plastic. According to the EPC the present part number for the shut-off valve of the MRSF pump is A0000705053. Old numbers A0000705153 and A0000702453. Part number A1427133093 is not known in the EPC.

Gasket is number A0109975648

Is the Euro G-Wagon 617 the same as the Euro sedan 617? The 617 in MB vans is not the same as the sedan version. They may have put the van engine in the G-Wagon.

M Pumps have the valve on the top (Makes replacement and proper reinstall much easier I would imagine)

I know I was shicked at the price as well. Thankfully the plastic version is only $30

Perfect! Many thanks for the clarification and the part numbers. I got the A1427133093 right off the top of the valve and I guess it's the Bosch part number and not a Mercedes part number.

I'm not sure to be honest. I have plenty of 603 experience but this is my first 617. It looks identical to the Euro sedan 617 that I saw last summer. All the old literature on the W460 refers to the engine coming out of the sedan line but i'm not sure. What made the van 617s different?

I know that I at least have the control stalk out of the MB van .

Not sure of all the differences. I think they had a different IP. Slightly higher horsepower. I think the engine number is different on the van engines.

So; the newly purchased Mighty-Vac showed that the shut-off valve was fine, as was the ignition and the vacuum pump.

The true culprit was a sneaky little EGR switch that was put onto the truck when it was brought into the states. Since we already removed the USELESS EGR valve all we needed to do was trade a tri joint for an elbow rubber. The switch itself is sealed so we just left it in place

The truck now only has 3 vacuum lines, the big one coming out of the pump and the two for the ignition/shutoff. I love simplicity.
