Hey.

I have an 87 300sdl. The car suddenly wouldn't go into third...just slips and revs. Sometimes I can get the car to skip third and when it catches 4th, I can drive on the highway. I've spent a lot of time and money trying to diagnose and work some magic on this tranny. I changed the b2 recently...no luck. Also k1 was changed recently. Vacuum to tranny is disconnected.
I was getting ready to replace the tranny, but decided to throw a can of transx in. Now I am able to get into third. It still slips, but at least now I'm able to get into third now...most of the time.
Any advice on what to do next? Another can of trans X or maybe something stronger?

Have you adjusted the Bowden cable?

Yes, I've done the gamut of adjustments on the bowden.

Do you have a apply chart for this transmission? Without looking at that, you are just guessing.

Trans "fix" in a can makes a real mess when it comes time for a rebuild and can damage a properly operating transmission.
