80 sd temp gauge not working
i posted before about this ,ive replaced sending unit, grounded wire from relay box to engine, checked fuse, even got another gauge, all did not work, the other gauge may have been broken as well.is there anything in relay box to check?i can get another instrument cluster, but dont want to do that unless im sure gauge is the problem

The sender in the engine, the gauge in the cluster, and the wires in between make up the entire apparatus. You can check the meter with an ohmmeter by putting the test leads to the meter terminals. That should make the meter needle bounce. Don't use a battery, too much risk of damaging the meter movement.

there is one other issue that my be informative about this situation.my glow plug light in dash no longer goes off after the normal glow time,it stays on until i start car,no issues with starting.i think glow plug and temp gauge go through the same relay, wondering if relay is the issue for both.?
