Anyones S350D radiator like this?

I have a 94 S350D. Im replacing the radiator and possibly the hoses. Can anyone tell me if their hose is split in two parts like mine or is theres a one full piece of hose that installs like a normal hose. Im wondering why the hose that was on this engine was cut almost in half. Her is a couple of pictures.
