Thanks for the help everyone, I will have the differential on my list of things to do, in the meantime I will just let the car cruise at 70 where she's happy. Hopefully that solves that problem, now I believe that I may also have a stuck thermostat as the car overheated after a prolonged idle today

it overheated at IDLE???

um, I think that's impossible. you had better get a coolant exhaust gas test kit... it sounds like you have either a cracked head, or a bad gasket...

Have you burped the system since swapping in the engine?

When I say overheat I saw the temp rise up to 95 when I shut the car down because I'm used to seeing the temp closer to 80-85. Coolant is clean and no coolant in oil. Also coolant level is not going down. I think I've become a bit too picky with this car

Unless the engine is filled with coolant via the top radiator hose, an air lock will typically occur in the engine stopping the full flow of coolant.
