Strange engine noise, om616
My dad's 240D started making this really strange noise a couple weeks ago, it sounds like something between a clunking and a gurgling coming from the front of the engine.
It is not rhythmic at all, which really has me puzzled  Also, I tried to feel around and see if anything in particular was making the clunking noise, like the power steering pump or a/c compressor, stuff like that, and I couldn't really feel any clunking at all I am hoping it is not the vacuum pump getting ready to explode or something, because I have heard some horror stories about that happening Thanks for any thoughts and suggestions folks!
