126 oil filter housing vs 123

I see the more compact design of the 126 filter housing gives more room down by the steering box but does it give any extra room at the fire wall? In my 39 Studebaker project we are having problems fitting it into the space available and if we cut the fire wall to fit the filter intrudes into where the gas pedal wants to be.

Yeah, thanks VS. I will probably use a remote setup...reluctantly.

What did you mean by "here". I don't see a link.

I meant there are threads on this site that have pictures and explanations of relocating it.
I haven't found them as of yet, but I have seen them...
