Injector nozzles
Does anyone have a good parts source for injector nozzles? I'm wanting to replace the set on my 1983 300D. They have over 250,000 miles on them and I'm sure they are the originals. I checked Fastlane/Pelican Parts, but all they offer is the Bosch nozzles and I really do NOT want to try them what with all the issues I have heard.
Monarks are sold out where I have seen them for sale before, so I'm wondering if anyone knows where else to get nozzles. Thanks, Glenn |
From the little I know - if you can't get Monarks and you don't want Bosch then for the OM617 you're kind of stuck with Bosio. The last time I looked they weren't cheap.

Let me re-phrase. I don't want to take a chance with Bosch right now. I'll get Bosio if I can find them at a reasonable price, but Monark would be my first choice. Basically what I'm asking is if anyone can provide me with some leads on suppliers, as the places I have found sell only Bosch, and the one source I knew of for Monarks are sold out! I would gladly post the name of my Monark source, but the website will not let me <grin>
Thanks, Glenn |
AFAIK, your source is the only source in the US, unless you find someone to resell them to you.

Sean Watts on the list used to supply the Monarch nozzles. Apparently is having difficult in getting the factory to ship them to him the last time I talked to him. Anyone has a phone number for him? I used to have it but can't locate it any more.

i emailed the monarch factory a few months ago and they said $1000 USD minimum order. i've got some nozzles from dieselsend.de and so far they been doing really good (i've only put about 5000 miles on them though). i'm not sure if they're made in Germany or somewhere else. their house brand is called Henzo and that's what i installed. they popped very nicely and after about 1000 miles really smoothed out the engine and decreased the noise. i used the SD265 nozzles as they perform better in the OM617, you can also use the SD261 nozzles, but i have never tried them. i think noone makes the original SD240 nozzles anymore

$1000 USD minimum order I don't think is such an issue but it seems that Monark cannot keep that other place that sells their Nozzles supplied with enough of them. This makes me think that if you had the money and ordered them that you might not know if they are going to arrive in a resonable time. Also in an email several years ago C Sean Watts said He had issues with US Coutoms sitting on them and not giving a specific date when they would release them. |

If it did it is is like the Monark Nozzles and the later Mercedes Nozzles. |
Both the 261 and 265 nozzles have the flat-cut pintle-nozzle needles....
Serves a similar purpose as the central hole of the 240/a type, and work well in 617 My personal choice would be the 261 for the 617, as M.B fitted them to the 'G' Wagen 617 engines, and they run very smooth, with good low-down torque.... Ive tried both and prefer the 261 for the 617. |

Other than the company you gave I could not find any info on the Henzo Nozzles. Did it say where they were made on the Nozzle of the packaging? Düsen= Injector Nozzles http://www.dieselsend.de/info2437010059.shtml |
no, they came in clear plastic containers. they have Henzo and the part number laser etched on them. it's possible that these are just cheap chinese made nozzles and he puts his logo on them, but so far they have been performing very good

When I first got my Mercedes I bought some Brand X 7 Diesel Nozzles. Except for a Nozzle number they were not marked. I Emailed that Company I bought them from and they claimed they were made be 7 Disel in Italy. I did not believe that. I was not having any issues with them but 1.5 years later I replaced them with Monark Nozzles. |

What Country are the Henzo the SD265 and SD262 Injector Nozzles Made in? Dear Mr. Innerbickler, thank you for your request. All DN0SD... pintle type nozzles that are branded 'HENZO' are maufactured in northern Italy, exclusively in one special factury. The factury provides a constantly high quality. The 'HENZO' brand is my own. I am at your service for further information, Henrik Raulefs www.DieselSend.de Marthastr. 48 20259 Hamburg Germany |
I got my Monarchs on ebay. The site that sold them did not have them listed at the time but I messaged him he had them and he sent me an invoice for them.
