newer o-ring for fuel filter..
anyone know where I can find the bigger/newer o-ring for the fuel filter tube? From what I've read, I have the newer version which has two different size o-rings. I've replaced the bottom one but not the larger one.
Anyone know where I can find the part number for the bolt that holds the fuel flip door in place. I'm missing one of them.

Harbor freight has some "O" ring kits in metric and SAE sizes as well as AC "O" rings. there will be a whole assortment of sizes.
Auto-Zone also has the kits with the metric sizes. think it is around $8.00. With these kits you will also have the small "O" rings that fit the bottom of the pipe for the oil filter lid. O-ring Size - 617 Engine secondary filter bolt Fuel filter O-ring The bolt for the fuel door is a 10mm head, don`t know the thread size. maybe take to other one off and go to a hardware store that has an assortment of metric sizes. There is also my favorite parts supplier, PNP.  Charlie

Autozone sells a Metric O-ring assortment made by Dorman for less than $8.
Dorman Metric 172 piece O-ring Value Pack #799-450 In it are 24 of the 6mmIDx10mmODx2mmW O-rings that you need for the bottom of the Oil Filter Stem: enough for 12 Oil Filter Changes as you need 2 O-rings each time you change it. The 10mmIDx17mmODx2.5mm in the kit fits the bottom of the Filter Bolt; you get 24 of those in the kit. On 617.952s you can substitute a 7mmx11mmx2mm in the upper groove on the Oil Filter Stem instead of the 6mmx10mmx2mm. If you do that you have enough O-rings for 24 O-ring changes. (This was suggested by another member and I did it and it works.) Fuel Filter Bolt O-ring Size O-ring Size - 617 Engine assuming the above thread has the correct size The 14mmIDx19mmODx2.5mmW appears to fit the large upper O-ring (if you have the Filter Bolt that takes 2 O-rings) but I have not actually tried that yet. You get a total of 172 O-rings in various sizes.
