300Sd rear brakes
We replaced the left rear brake hose and noticed that the bleeder was on the bottom of the caliper ---is this normal?
We removed the caliper and stuck a thick flat metal plate between the pads-twisted the caliper up and with a hose on the valve bleed the system --so the brakes are perfect now but the location of the bleeder doesn't seem right-- any thoughts thanks hank |

The bleed screw should be towards the top of the caliper where air would be. That caliper isn't installed properly or isn't the correct caliper for your car.

It's on the side, check the other to see if it's on the bottom. If not, sounds like you may needto replace it with the proper one.

Sixto,
Thanks for the quick pick-up on the name. My wife said that nobody would understand it. No noises from the horses yet.
