Broken Throttle Part Question
On the 1987 300TD I just picked up, there's a part of the throttle that's broken. I thought I might describe it in hopes that someone can identify parts and help me figure out what needs to be done.
The throttle cable attaches to a triangular piece of metal. The "point" of the triangle where the cable attaches, including the guide, appears to be intact. But another point of the triangle is connected to a black piece of plastic which has broken off from something....but I'm having difficulty seeing from what. What do I need to do to fix this? Trying to decide whether to tackle it myself or have my indie do it. Thanks.
