W123 Rear Bumper Strut

My rear bumper fell off (thankfully while parked).

One of the rubber pads that holds the bumper to the shock has split in half. I'm certain this is from a pretty hard hit I took recently where it initially appeared there was no damage.

I can't seem to find a replacement for the rubber pad.

I found this old thread on the detailing forum, but the suggestions there are coathangers or adhesive which don't seem very permanent.

Anyone have a good fix?
