1983 240D 3-Knob Climate Controls.

Hey all, so I got this '83 240d that has the manual climate controls, and there's very little info on them anywhere. Mine is in baaaaaad shape:



I had ordered a new setup but I didn't realize that what everyone seems to be selling are the push button controls (which is what I received yesterday). I've seen it alluded to that it is possible to swap them and change the whole system but that seems like quite a pain, and I've seen others say to keep the manual controls, much less faulty.

Are these units available? Mine's pretty trashed, like really. The knobs are stripped, the internals of the things that the knobs attach to are fubar'd, the plastic brakets are broken, etc.

What's my best course of action here?
