Award for filthiest W210 cabin filters?

Doesn't appear as if the PO had much of a filter changing regimen. 78k miles on the car....I'm assuming these are original.

I don't have photos, and I no longer have the W210, but I really have to claim this prize. I once had a nest of field mice that spent half the winter on my cabin air filter. I tore the whole car apart, looking for the source of the odor, and when I found it, well...

That's pretty bad. Mine weren't filled with all those large debris pieces @ 100K - just the dust. Might be the difference between a car always garaged-kept, versus an out-of-doors car.

Not the worse I have seen believe me!

'98 with Brilliant Silver paint/Blue leather? Very rare color combo I must add. I have to ask, how cracked is your dash on your Blue interior if at all? I was curious if it is as bad as the previous genre W124s with Blue dashboards.

Some on the forum have dubbed it the unicorn...in addition to the color combo, it has every conceivable option.

The interior is essentially perfect. The only imperfection on the dash is a one inch crack extending from the back of the passenger air bag toward the windshield.

I wasn't sure about the color combo at first, but I've really grown to like it.

That's about what our Corolla looked after 120k. I remember doing a double-take when i got the new filter. "Whoa -- it's WHITE!"

mine were more filthy.

They were genuine MB filters with the plastic edges and MB part no. About a handful of leaves, debris and other stuff also came out of the casing.

The ones from my W124 were almost hazmat - they had seeds etc embedded in them all the way.
