1977 Mercedes 207D camper. trouble with Glow plugs, any info helps!

I picked up a 77' 207D to remodel the camper and live in. the rig needed someone to do a real haul out on it. I've torn the interior of the camper out and begun to rebuild, now I'm working on the engine trying to find out why it wont start for me again. What I know is that the glow plugs aren't getting juice, or enough power, I bought a new battery with plenty of cranking amps. I believe its the ground or relay, (of which I haven't been able to find). After cleaning up the ground it still won't burn. If anyone has some knowledge on this model of mercedes I'd very much so appreciate any advice and info you have. Thanks

What Engine does it Have?

If it is like the Diesel Car Engines of that time if one Glow Plug is bad none of them will work.

Trace Wire and find the Fuse and see if that is OK.

What type of tests have you done on the Glow Plug System?

The Zig-Zag resistance Wires cannot touch the Block or anything else besides the Terminals they are supposed to go to. The Wires and Resistance Wires have to be on the GPs in the correct order with the Insulators properly installed.

It has an OM 616 with loop plugs if it is OE. Are the squiggly wires between the plugs getting red hot after about 30 seconds of the key being in the glow position? If not, the plugs aren't working. They are series plugs. One bad plug cause them all not to work. That's the most likely problem. Check for voltage going to the first plug. There should be a heavy fuse in the system also. Follow the wire from the first plug (probably the one farthest back on the engine) to a small plastic box with a metal strip fuse inside. Is that fuse intact?
