Thumbs up Diesel Cheaper than Gasoline !!!

Almost overnight gasolene prices have shot up in my area, while diesel has gone up about two cents/gallon. Diesel fuel is now cheaper at many places (locally) than all grades of gasolene.

Benefits of a warm winter?

Los Angeles Ca. My last fill up was at $1.33/gal at the cheap chevron station by the freeway. They are always the cheapest in town by about 10 to 15 cents. It is $1.49/gal at Mobil. I've noticed that it is usually close to the price of super unleaded around here.

Thumbs up

At a mom & pop store here in Redwood CIty (San Francisco area), diesel's $1.43 a gallon and 87 g@$ is the same price.

Most other places, diesel's more like $1.45 to $1.49 a gallon, with 87 being a bit above that mark...

No complaints here...except for my two Fords "only" getting 15mpg...

San Francisco (City) $1.59 diesel. $1.49 reg unleaded (Chevron). In ten years I don't think I've ever seen diesel cheaper than reg unleaded, except maybe at some Central Valey truckstop.

I'll throw in my diesel price for Chicago, IL.
Last I checked it was 1.49 but it could be more now. Anyway it was as expensive as premium gas in my area.

Lately I've been glancing at diesel prices, and it it a good 15% cheaper then gasoline in the Toronto area, and has been like this since I started paying attention to it two weeks ago.

Regular 87 octane: 70c /litre
Diesel : 56c /litre

In my area, Texas Hill Country, unleaded regular is $1.16.9, diesel at local truck stop is $1.17.9. Most places are higher.
