1998 E300TD 6cyl
I just bought my first Mercedes two weeks ago. I don't think I got stung too badly? My questions are. the warning light ENGINE ELECTRICAL and CHECK ENG are on. I had the code read and it said solenoid waste gate number 1. I found the gasket between the exhaust manifold and Turbo is missing. also the waste gate solenoid lines are connected together bypassing the assembly. what is being damaged by me driving it this way? I am installing a new gasket as soon as I can get one. car does run great!!!
