recently rebuilt transmission with major leak
So as some of you know, I had a rebuilt transmission with a 3 year warranty put into my 190D at a cost of $2200 plus labor. My mechanic installed it after it was shipped from a Mercedes certified rebuild shop in California. I have reason to believe it is leaking from the torque converter seal because it only leaks after taking it out for a drive then it stops after a few minutes. This would also lead me to believe that the fault lies with the rebuild shop, assuming they were the ones to install the seals. Initially it did not leak much (not enough to change the levels on the dipstick) but when I went to check it again yesterday, the levels were way down so I went and bought some new fluid and topped it off and when I drove it last night and got out it just seemed to be pouring out.
Also, even when the transmission was first put in (around 1000 miles ago), the upshifts have been hard and sometimes it hesitates when it goes to shift, mainly when downshifting. Sometimes when upshifting, the car jerks forward and to the left.
I will be going in to my mechanic for him to service it, but what would you suggest I do beyond that?
