OM617.951 v. OM617.952 -- What's the Difference?

I happened to wonder about this, since my understanding is that the '84 300D that I have is a .952 versus the 300SD which is a .951. Wondering what the difference between the two was, I googled it and found the following result on Wikipedia:

Quote:
The OM617.952 displaced 2998 cc with a 90.9 mm bore and 92.4 mm stroke. Power output was 125 hp (91 kW). Torque was rated at 180 lb·ft (244 N·m). The only difference between the OM617.952 and the OM617.951 is the presence of a pump for the SLS system installed on the 300TD and 300SD on the OM617.951.
...really? Is that the best-kept secret about the 300SD, or am I just living under a rock? What is the difference between these two?
