81-85 W123 wagon hatch vacuum actuators NLA
Thats right folks, the vacuum actuator in the late model w123 wagons that locks and unlocks the hatch is NLA from mercedes.
If you see a wagon in the boneyard, be sure to get that actuator. It appears that we will be able to adapt another actuator to work im going to try it out. I was lucky enough to have a great friend here in town that happened to have a good spare one on hand. Im going to try adapting other vacuum actuators to work in place of the original for that day when we cant find one.

I talked to him this afternoon on the phone actually. He sells the rebuild kits for the early actuators, you know the blue and white double diaphram ones. He doesnt have any kits for the later ones. I have heard that its very hard to open up the later actuators to replace the diaphram with out destroying them
