95 W124 E300D breaklight/headlight/fuel gauge issue
So my problem started off with the fuel gauge dropping when the breaks were applied then the fuel gauge started moving with the left turn blinker and now the fuel gauge doesn't work at all when the headlights are on. This I could live with but now with the headlights on and the breaks applied the reverse lights and the license plate lights light up but no break lights and if I put the blinker on with the headlights on all the lights in the back blink. Does this sound like a ground issue or is this a sign that the wiring harness? Any help on were to start will be much appreciated

Bad ground.
Check the ground points in the trunk area.

Can it also be the headlight relay which is under the fuse box?

Umm... the way this works is you try the suggestions already made, report the results then request more ideas if necessary. For now, check the tail light cluster grounds and try the brakes with the headlight relay removed.
